Downloading and installing Adobe Reader 9
Adobe Reader 9 is free software you can use to view PDF (Portable Document Format)
files. Many companies and institutions use the PDF format to make information available
over the internet. You can open and read PDF files directly from the Internet, or you can download them and save them on your computer. In either case, you will need the program Adobe Reader.
On this webpage, you can read how to download and install the program Adobe Reader 9. Adobe Reader 9 can be run on the following Windows operating systems:
In the examples that follow, Adobe Reader 9 is installed on a Windows Vista computer. If you have a different version of Windows, your screen will look a bit different than the screenshots you see below. You can, however, still perform all the necessary steps as needed.

Adobe Reader 9 has been downloaded and installed on your computer's hard drive. You will see a new icon on your Desktop. From now on, you will be able to open PDF-files.
