Windows Internet Explorer 8

In April 2009, Microsoft released a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows Vista and XP users: Windows Internet Explorer 8. This new version has been released as a Windows update. If you've set up your computer to automatically install Windows updates, then you've probably already received Windows Internet Explorer 8.

There are new and improved features in the eighth edition of Internet Explorer, among them being an increased focus on security and privacy issues.

In most of the printings of your book, the material that covered Internet Explorer was made with version 7. Only in the earliest printings was Internet Explorer 6 used. No matter which version of Internet Explorer you use, you will still be able to perform all of the tasks as described in your book. There may be some slight differences in the windows on your computer, but most of the buttons, icons or menus available in previous versions can still be found.
