Error on page 169

There is an error on page 169 in the book. In order to open the Format Picture dialog box, you will need to double-click on the clip art image instead of clicking once as described in the book.

Microsoft Word 2003 for Seniors also suitable for Word 2002

The book Microsoft Word 2003 for Seniors may also be used with Microsoft Word 2002. The images in the book will differ slightly from those you see on your computer screen. However, the steps that you take while working through this book are exactly the same. Some of the task panes, commands, and buttons are named differently in Microsoft Word 2002. The list below compares the terminology you will come across while working through the book.

The Getting Started Task Pane that you work with throughout the entire book, is named New Document Task Pane in Word 2002.

Chapter 6

  • The Clip Art Task Pane on page 167 is named Insert Clip Art Task Pane in Word 2002.
  • The button Go in the Clip Art Task Pane on page 167 is named Search in the Insert Clip Art Task Pane in Word 2002.

Chapter 9

  • On page 241 and further you will notice that some of the buttons in the Tables and Borders dialog box appear differently in Word 2002, but are located in the same place.

Chapter 10

  • Instead of clicking the button On my computer... on page 262, you will have to click the button General Templates in Word 2002.
  • Instead of clicking the command Mail Merge... on page 276, you will have to click the command Mail Merge Wizard in Word 2002.
